The Outdoor Discharging Coil (also known as discharge reactor or PT discharge coil) is an essential protection device for capacitive voltage transformers (CVT) , potential transformers (PT) , and capacitor banks in high voltage outdoor substations. It provides a safe discharge path for residual charges after the primary circuit is de-energized, preventing dangerous voltage buildup and protecting personnel and equipment.
Rated for 35kV to 220kV systems, this outdoor discharging coil is designed for direct mounting on CVT/PT tanks or standalone installation in substations. It complies with IEC 61869-5 (CVT standards) and GB/T 20840.5.
