This contact box is a core insulating component for 35kV (rated voltage 40.5kV) air-insulated switchgear, mainly used in the primary main circuit of mid-mounted switchgear (e.g., KYN61 series). It serves three key functions: insulation shielding, contact/busbar support, and compartment separation:
Insulation shielding: Isolates high-voltage live parts from grounded cabinets/phases, optimizing electric field distribution via built-in metal shielding mesh to prevent partial discharge;
Support & fixation: Secures static contacts and busbars, ensuring mechanical stability of circuit connections;
Compartment separation: Cooperates with the switchgear structure to physically separate functional compartments (e.g., busbar compartment, circuit breaker compartment), enhancing safety.
