Products Description
Bushing inserts are threaded into a universal well to function like an integral loadbreak bushing, enabling efficient field installation and replacement. They are key components of loadbreak connections, along with elbow connectors.
Bushing inserts have a single current transfer point within the insert, ensuring a simple and reliable current path design. An internal hex broach facilitates torque-controlled installation, and an optional tool ensures proper tightening without damaging the stud.
An exclusive latch indicator ring on the bushing's collar simplifies loadbreak elbow installation, providing immediate visual feedback on proper installation.
If the yellow ring is fully covered by the elbow, it indicates proper latching. If the ring is visible, the elbow can be correctly installed to prevent issues.
Bushing inserts comply with IEEE Std 386 and are interchangeable with compatible products, offering a fully shielded and submersible connection for loadbreak operations.
