What is a GIS load switch
A 1250A Load Switch for GIS Switchgear is a three position SF6 insulated switching device installed inside gas insulated switchgear GIS. It provides load breaking and making at 1250A continuous current as well as visible isolation and grounding for safe maintenance.
Rated for 12kV to 40.5kV systems this load switch is sealed in a stainless steel tank filled with SF6 gas. It operates maintenance free for over 30 years and is ideal for compact substations ring main units and wind solar collector systems.
